Mission Statement
To educate energetic, innovative, committed and caring individuals to become role models in a new health care delivery model practicing medicine under the supervision of a physician to expand health care access for the people of Ontario.
Program Structure
Year 1 focuses on clinical sciences, problem-based learning, clinical skills, communication, professionalism, and early clinical exposure. Year 2 consists of supervised clinical rotations across different areas of medicine at sites throughout Ontario
Curriculum
Small-group, problem-based learning, clinical skills training, simulations, anatomy labs, workshops, and supervised clinical placements, with a strong emphasis on hands-on learning and interprofessional education.
Year 1: Clinical Sciences
Clinical Sciences, Interviewing Examination and Reasoning (IER), Profssional Competencies and Early Clinical Exposure Placements
Year 2: Clerkship
Core rotations: Family Medicine, Psychiatry, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Paediatrics, Emergency Medicine & Geriatrics, + Electives
Clinical Placement Locations
Hamilton, Niagara/St. Catharines, Kitchener-Waterloo, Toronto, and other communities across Ontario in both hospital and community-based settings.
