Episode # [template]

Allie Penrose is a student in Dalhousie's inaugural MPAS cohort—the first PA program in Atlantic Canada and only the fourth in the country. In this episode she walks through her full application journey: what drew her to the profession, how she prepared for the Kira Talent video interview, what the MMI actually felt like, and what surprised her most in the first months of the program in Halifax.

What makes Allie's story particularly compelling for Pre-PA students is that Dal is newer, smaller, and geographically distinct from McMaster or Manitoba. Twenty-four seats per cohort, prioritized for Nova Scotia and Maritime residents, a January start date, and a curriculum that front-loads an intensive pre-clerkship year.

The MMI station I thought I failed was the one where I said I didn’t know the answer. I walked out thinking I’d blown it. I got in. That taught me something about what they’re actually looking for.
