There are currently 7 PA Programs in Canada. Training is approximately 2 years for all programs, and include a first year of medical foundations and second year of clinical placements.

Admission requirements vary by school, requiring 2-4 years of undergraduate coursework, prerequisite courses, minimum cumulative GPA and health care experience hours.

Graduates qualify to write the PA Certification Exam (PACE) and become Canadian Certified Physician Assistants (CCPA).
