“Becoming a PA” Question
If you are a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada, head on over to the Pre-PA section, or post your question in our Canadian Pre-PA Facebook group. You can also ask questions about PA education, practice, shadowing, etc. in that group, and a current PA student or practicing PA will answer your question!
If you are a Canadian Citizen or PR, AND are a foreign medical graduate (IMG) or received your undergraduate degree outside of Canada, please read Can an IMG become a Physician Assistant?
If you are an International Student (NOT Canadian Citizen or PR status in Canada), please see my post Can International Students apply to PA school in Canada?
I am only currently accepting guest posts, interviews, and featured social media pieces from practicing PAs, PA students or other health care professionals interested in a collaborative piece. See contact information below to get in touch.
Employing a PA
If you are a physician, HR personnel, or a group looking to hire a PA and would like some more information, I recommend you get in touch with the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants at firstname.lastname@example.org as they can connect with you with many resources. I also personally answer questions, and can hop on a phone call with you (free of charge). Email me at email@example.com to get in touch.
Otherwise you can visit What is a PA page for more background information about PAs, and the PA Employer Page for more resources, articles and checklists to help with adding a PA to your practice.
