About Andrew Lim

Andrew Lim is a Canadian Certified Physician Assistant working with the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, Ontario. Having worked as a personal trainer both in physical therapy clinics and in private practice in his past life, Andrew aims to integrate both the theoretical and applied knowledge of exercise into practice. During his training at McMaster University’s Physician Assistant Education Program, he soon found his interest for musculoskeletal pathology where he found a position working in the orthopaedic division, helping to care for the patients of Canada’s first and largest regional trauma centre. When not studying in his spare time, he enjoys cooking, bouldering and playing guitar.

New PA Grad Andrew reflects on the PA Job Hunt

I had the pleasure of meeting Andrew who completed an Orthopaedic Surgery elective rotation with us during his second year of PA school. My PA colleague and I were delighted to hear he secured a position in Orthopaedic Surgery (it's a not-so-secret bias that we hope all of the students who rotate with us end up in Ortho/MSK). He has kindly agreed to write about his experience as part of the 2016 Career Start
